What can't I put in a skip?
- Fridges/Freezers
- Tyres
- Paint cans containing liquid paint - 'dried' is acceptable
- Asbestos
- Clinical/Medical Waste
- Hazardous/Toxic Material
- Plasterboard - we can only take this if it is kept separate from all other waste. The removal of it is priced according to the weight of the load - please phone for details!
I've never ordered a skip before, how does it work?
It's simple! Just give us a ring, tell us what size skip you need, (if you're not really sure we will be more than happy to advise you), and we'll give you a price; tell us your address details and when you'd like the skip to be delivered and we'll do the rest! To have your skip collected, you can either tell us when you book the skip or if you're not sure when you'll be finished with it just give us another ring when you're ready and we will pick it up as soon as we can, (usually the next working day)
What does the price of hiring a skip include?
The price of hiring a skip from Bargewell Skip Hire includes delivery, collection, disposal and hire for up to 14 days, (all prices quoted are including vat)
I do not have the room for a skip, can it stand on the road?
Yes, but only for a short time whilst the skip is being loaded - the driver will wait and help you with this - 15 minutes of waiting time is included in the price of the skip!
Do I have to wait in for delivery of the skip?
We do prefer payment on delivery but should that not be possible then you may give your payment to the driver on collection of the skip. We accept the following methods of payment:
- Credit Card (all major credit cards accepted)
- BACS (please phone us for our bank details)
- Cheque (please make cheques payable to 'Bargewell Skip Hire')

How quickly can a skip be delivered?
Sometimes the same day but if not, certainly the next day!
How can I be sure that you dispose of my waste responsibly and not like some of these 'rogue traders' that you see on documentaries?
We are fully registered waste carriers by the Environment Agency - registration number AEA/792231 - and have the correct documentation should it be required
Can you dispose of 'special wastes'?
